WP3 – Technology push RTD needs
 Work Package objectives
To define the knowledge that lacks to support a collective
vision of the performance upgrades required by the European Transmission
Network in 2020 driven by the technology push approach.
Description
of work
The technologies push driven RTD work concerns the expected
technological breakthrough able or needed to meet the future European
Transmission Network functional requirements. From the TSO’s perspective,
the challenge consists in answering to the question: How the emerging
technologies could improve TSO business in term of efficiency, economics,
environment, better deliver demand reliability and power quality etc.?
The Work Package is divided into the following tasks:
- Task 3.1: Better use of the existing system/Increase transmission Capacity grid
/ control and stability
- Task 3.2: Delivering reliability and high power quality
- Task 3.3: Design tools and modeling techniques
- Task 3.4: Integration of European Power Markets
